Does anyone actually "Use" their lanyard?

I'm just curious if anyone actually clips their "kill switch" lanyard to themselves/life jacket?

I keep it clipped to a Mustang Survival Belt : http://www.diycontrols.com/p-9228-m...ype-iii.aspx?gclid=CI7uxvWi1MACFU2RfgodEH8ALA
Which I keep behind my back in the seat. If it gets rough or I feel the urge to do something very stupid coming on, I can clip it around my waist in 2.5 seconds. Granted, the belt probably wouldn't help keep my head above water if I were knocked unconscious, but it would save a lot of time looking for the body. I'm very thoughtful that way. :p

Has anyone tried the wireless clip on one? Pretty expensive to buy, but WAY higher chance I'd actually wear that one

I never use mine ... but know I should be using it.

I must confess - I never use mine either. But I usually don't exceed 28-30 mph - only if I find myself alone on glass do I open her up. I don't do spins or subs, and drive pretty conservatively.

I had an instance where the guy that was towing me in a tube fell out of the boat, throttle pegged, no lanyard. It took quite a while to catch the boat and stop it. A lanyard would have prevented it all. Cam.

Accidents happen.....

A boat driver turned too sharply Sunday, launching himself from the boat and sending it corkscrewing down the Intracoastal Waterway with a woman on board.
The accident happened about 5 p.m. and caused minor injuries, said Master Officer Chris Holmes of the Wildlife Resources Commission, which is investigating the boating accident with the Coast Guard. Holmes said a family was out on the boat Sunday afternoon. A man and woman were on board and a child was on an innertube.
