I would like to splice and add connectors to all the wires entering the electrical box. I am looking to do this for convenience, easy removal of motor or e-box by disconnecting wires outside instead of opening the box and exposing components. I plan to cut the wires a foot outside, add connectors and then add heat shrink tubes for protection. All these wires use male/ female round connectors within the ebox. my power wires I will run a short cable out of ebox to a standalone post and then to the appropriate devices. I currently have everything apart replacing my plug wires and the engines pulled, this is my opportunity. it would be so much easier removing the ebox and working on a bench instead of the motor compartment.

My question is: do I need to use any specific connectors for continuity reasons or will standard connectors properly crimped be fine. Not sure if these components are finicky with the flow or resistance through the wires.
