I think that I might have a problem with the factory transducer. The past couple of trips out I noticed that depth was not reading properly. The depth will occasionally update, sometimes 5 minutes, sometimes 2 hours. When not working the numbers for the last reading stay on the screen and the bar graph below them turns grey and flashes. Temp reads fine, although it seems high, and I have no Comm Err on screen.

Any idea of plugs/connections I could check, way to reset it, etc.......?

Watching! Sorry I can not help.
@tek4fun would figure this out!
This is making me nervous, freaking Connext.

Does the transducer only cut out with depth when you are going 35 mph or more? This is a common problem and at this point is to be expected. If this is not the case, which it sounds like it is not, then I would suspect the transducer itself is going out. If it was a communication problem between the transducer and the Connext display, then you would definitely be seeing the transducer communication warning. I do not remember all the details of this MY and model off the top of my head, so I will need to investigate a little.

I had one "Depth Comm Err" (can't remember the exact wording of the error). I did two things, went inside the helm and pushed on every connector I could find and also reached in the rear bilge and wiggled around the wire going into the depth transducer. No more Comm Err and had it out all day last sunday and worked fine. Fingers crossed. Saw one other post about same error on this forum somewhere and their fix was to replace the transducer which solved it for them.

Edit: they said is was intermittent but became more and more frequent until they replaced the transducer.

It does cut out at speeds over 30-35, and always has. But it does while in float mode now.
