I have an issue that I need some help diagnosing. I have full faria gauges in my boat , all work as intended aside from my coolant temp gauge. I have tried a few different ways to diagnose this issue, such as grounding the sending unit itself to confirm the actual gauge is still working which it seems to be as the needle goes far right. I have also confirmed I have 12v to the hot terminal of the gauge. Double check ground on the gauge. I had even replaced the sending unit itself. But I can not get the needle to move at all when ignition is on. The only time the needle moves is when it is completely grounded out.

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

Is the sending unit Faria as well?

Sounds like the next suspect is the wire. Before you go pulling and running a new one, just use a temp one to test...
