I had some things that popped up last year and I didn't get to installing my audio system. I have now decided on the following system

M6 6.5 x 3
m6 10" sub
jl amp 75x 8
jl amp 600x1
i will also do a sub volume knob and rear controller for the swimdeck

questions
I have an extra 2 channels - should I add another pair of m6 6.5 for the cockpit?
my sub amp can be split to 300x2 - should I add another m6 10"?

any downside or feedback on rgb lighting?

I have a new in box MM50 tuner - any reason to do a different tuner? I did see on the JL site some devices that could help integrate a system into the stock nav screen systems - I think I will stick to a new tuner unless there is something out now that om not aware of ?

thank you for any info or feedback. I am excited to get the system done

Certainly wouldn’t hurt to add an extra set of speakers or subwoofer. The sub knob isn’t needed with the MM50 but makes control much quicker.

No downsides to RGB, but not worth the cost if you hardly night boat.

The Mm50 is a great unit, it can’t integrate into the factory screen but it could integrate into an aftermarket MFD.

I wouldn’t a good business owner if I didn’t self promote and say the only thing you’re really missing is our integration harness, which would allow you to keep your OEM plugs intact and quickly utilize the OEM speaker wires.

sorry - i dont know what plugs are lol. I have read that I should get upgraded speaker wiring. what would the harness do ? - anything to integrate the new stereo into the connext screen? thank you !!!!

Our harness allows you plug it into the plug currently going into the OEM amp and then has wires to go into new amplifier. You can absolutely go without it, but it simplifies install and allows you to go quickly back to OEM if you sold the boat.

For that amount power there is no need to replace OEM speaker wires. I would only recommend this when going over 150+ watt per speaker.

We have a harness to allow integrations for the stereo to the screen, but that would be if your using the Connext as the source unit instead of the MM50
