Fire stick with Kodi app

Our family uses the Kodi system everyday. works great and very happy with it.

Did you guys load Kodi yourselves ?
Using the instructions found online ?

I loaded it myself on the Gbox. Very easy.

My son has sideloaded it onto the fire devices. I have sideloaded before messing around rooting android devices years ago, it's just not something I'm comfortable with. I just don't have the time to devote to it I guess, or I'm just getting old.

I also don't have the time to mess around with loading everything. I loaded the Pi and installed the add ons. It's not hard, but it is time consuming. For a little more money, I bought a preloaded gbox. All I had to do was plug it in and connect to the wifi. Which it did not include instructions for btw. A quick Google search and you'll find a YouTube video to show you how.

@GeniusGio is this unit complimentary or equivalent to what you are selling, re: android box?

Is running a vpn required/advised?

Hey Mark. That unit you posted is a bit different. The TabloTv seems to only contain HD tv channels that one can pretty much receive if purchasing an HD Antenna. My boxes contain, TV, TV Series, Movies, Movies from the theatre, Porn, also contains TV channels from other countries as well

Running a vpn is always good for this and other things as well, but not necessary. Ive been using my personal box for about 3 years now with no issues what so ever

Correct, the TabloTv is just a straight tuner and dvr that you would connect to an HD antenna, then use a Firestick, fire TV, or roku stick to view the content. It will play live tv or record, similar function to a typical cable or sat Dvr.

Hope that helps

@GeniusGio
Thanks for the 2 android box's, and fire box programming. They work awesome. Literally was plug and play like you said. Family is finding so many TV shows and movies it is unbelievable what is available to watch.

Amazing how happy the wife is to find TV shows.

Dan - are you still happy with this, any downside you've experienced?

@Scottintexas
Yes. I am still happy with this system. Kodi system upgraded there state. From version 16 to version 17, which had a learning curve, and required reprogramming everything.. But we got past it and it is working again.

But for being free access, we enjoy the kodi system. Wife and kid still use Netflix also.

Hey @dan144k , Don't forget you're more than welcomed to text me if you're having any issues on either 16.1 or 17. I have replaced my old phone already.

@GeniusGio
I got everything updated to version 17. Used the Tvaddons.ag website and got everything working, thanks for all the help.

@GeniusGio I have Pukse up and running on my stick but getting very poor streaming results (too many pauses). Does the Fire TV box perform better due to the Ethernet jack? I can stream via WiFi just fine on a Roku and Apple TV.......just not this Fire Stick.

Lots of things stopped working when tvadons got shut down. I gave up on kodi in the last few months.

It's alive and well, just gotta change your builds. Get a Gbox2 @Murf'n'surf and throw the NoLimits build on it. That's what I'm using at the moment anyway

1. What are your internet speeds
2. which Generation of firestick are you using
3. Which Add-on are you using to stream your movies

@veedubtek
Are you using tvaddons?
Did they fix indigo, or are You using something else?

I'm honestly not sure what sources it pulls from @dan144k . I just installed the whole build, and I've had beautiful streams off everything I've tried thus far.

They took indigo down now. Exodus is also dead. I would suggest using "covenant" now. It's the new Exodus.

Look up how to install the ares wizard and I would recommend using the Pulse Build. Pretty much has everything you need.
