First rule of buying a new anchor....

....measure your anchor locker and make sure it fits :confused::(

Fortunately with a few tools and patience it fits now but could have saved a ton of aggravation.
 
Oops.

Just put the kids in the anchor locker and the anchor in the cockpit. Problem solved.
