First time boat-owner and new to boats in general. We traveled about 8 hours to Nebraska to pick up or new-to-us 2014 AR192 with only 32 hours on it about a month and a half ago. The thing was stock except for the addition of 2 single Kicker tower speakers. I've been pretty busy with it since it made it's way to my driveway last month.

Thanks to this site, I was able to make a list of things I wanted to do once I found the boat we wanted and get straight to work. The pinned FAQ's and Maintenance tips are priceless!

These are the things I've done to it so far:
Added a 2nd amp and subs
Replaced the 2 single tower speakers with a pair of duals in white enclosures
Replaced the single chrome wakeboard rack with a pair black ones
Added the Cobra Jet Steering system with the fangs
Installed the EZ-lock on the clean out plug
Stripped the OEM graphics and had new graphics put on
Tinted the windows with 5% tint
Put new rims and tires on the trailer
Mounted the old trailer rims and tires as spares
Installed Blue Seas dual battery switch and bought 2 new Group 27's

I'm installing the following later this week:
Upgraded SVHO intercooler from RIVA
Ribbon delete kit from RIVA
New NGK Spark plugs

Unfortunately, I discovered a problem last week. The impeller has been damaged. I didn't look at it before I bought it, but I'm assuming it was like that when I bought it because to my knowledge, I haven't sucked anything up and I've had an issue getting it to get on plane with a heavier load in the boat from the first day I put it in the water. Lesson learned there going forward. I'm going to try and change it out tomorrow. Hope it goes well and I can be on the water this weekend!

I would be completely lost if I hadn't come across this site, so thanks for all the great info!

glad to have you on board, what lake do you normally use?
Do you have an impeller removal tool to get the old one off the shaft?

So far we have been taking to Arcadia Lake (about 35-40 minutes from the house). We dipped it in Overholser once, but we were only out there for about 45 minutes. It was brutally hot that day and you can't swim there, so we just drove around a bit and called it a day. We are going to try out Lake Lawtonka soon. We hear it's pretty nice and it's only about an hour and a half from us.

Yes. I ordered the removal tool from Impros which will be here today and the new impeller will be here tomorrow. A buddy of mine is available to help with it tonight and has a bench vice, so I'm going to go ahead and go there this evening and get the damaged one off and then screw the new one on tomorrow evening and hopefully it all goes as planned. If it does, the wife and I may take it out Wednesday for a test run while the kids are still in Texas.

We have a date with Skiatook this August! Awesome lake!!
We have some family friends that frequent Skiatook. We have been talking about going up there sometime soon. I, myself, have never been. I hear great things about it, though.

My profile picture was taken there. I live in Wichita which is about 3 hours but was well worth the trip. Cross Timbers Marima has a nice restaurant and dock!

Did I meet you at Arcadia? I'm guessing you found your problem and it wasn't trapped water.

We love skiatook and go there as much as we can. I actually grew up there, and know the lake very well. I actually watched the scene where the house was burning in the outsiders being filmed. It is now under the lake between black dog and bull creek.

Hey, man! Yes, we did meet at Arcadia.

Unfortunately it wasn't trapped water. The boat is bone dry. A lot of research later I ended up looking at the impeller and sure enough, it was damaged. I removed the housing last night and will be taking the damaged one off and putting the new one on tonight.

Between the new impeller, upgraded intercooler, ribbon delete and new spark plugs that I'm installing this week, I'm hoping my issues will be solved.

I hope you have your fix and I'm sorry that it wasn't a simple problem. We will have to catch up later. I know we will be at Acadia this weekend. The hotter it gets the earlier we go.

For sure! We will (hopefully) be out there either Saturday or Sunday morning for a few hours with the kiddos before they go back down to Texas with the in-laws for another week, so maybe we'll see you out there.

We will be out Friday afternoon. We are always at spring creek ramp by 3. Probably Sunday. We moved from the beach to down by the dam on the s side just west of the cove. There is a creek bed with cold water there.
