Interesting. I ended up putting about 20k down. They took about $12k off MSRP, which beat any deal around here. I tried Crossroads in Fuquay and they couldn't beat the price. They also didn't have the truck I wanted. Apex had the color and all the options I wanted. I think they probably gave me a little more than other dealers since it was my second truck I bought from them. I'll start with them next time, but if I'm buying new will likely special order from Granger Ford. They have the best prices in the country and even after paying to have it shipped are still a good bit cheaper than anyone locally.
That's a good tip, Granger.. Fuquay for some reason didn't come up on any searches. Weird, as I drove past them on the way home from Lillington today, and just noticed them. Strange business really; they all have pretty much the same product. Only thing to shop for is price. I bet if I was more patient, I could have found a used one with low miles for 40k. But Santa said I have been good this year..

If you're looking for extended warranties Granger is where it's at. Crossroads was trying to sell my an extended factory warranty for $7200 ($100 for 72 months). Uhhhhh, no thanks! Granger I bought the same warranty for $2100. You technically can finance it at 0%, but I just wanted to pay for it in full . It's the same factory Ford warranty you can get at any dealer and used at any dealer. I refuse to buy any aftermarket warranties. Those are a joke. I bought the 10yr 100k warranty as my cam phasers on my old truck started to go about 95k and 7 years.

Thought about it for a second or two, but I usually don't buy these. I do like the idea for this new one, since it has so many systems . The dealer made a weak pitch with one, but he knew ahead of time I would say no. Started at 3100, then down to 2500, but was done after that. Granger sounds like the way to go.
Congrats on the purchase! ‘21 Powerboost owner.. bought it used from an Acura dealership down in Wilmington. You’ll appreciate the power when pulling the boat out of the water. I’m at 40k miles with the stock Pirelli’s and I barely have to put my foot on the gas when retrieving my 252X.

Thanks ! Good to hear. Do you ever need 4wd at the ramp? Our ramps are very good for the most part, but sometimes on trips that hasn't been the case. Getting used to the longer wheel base is going to take time. Parking already is more of a challenge at some places. This truck feels miles longer than the suburbans my wife had for years.

Yes! Back into the spot, always! It's a truck thing!
If you state has front license plates, know that they are absolute junk. I must have had someone bump into my front end in a parking spot. Noticed at some point that the front license plate and holder were gone. No idea how long I drove around that way, but it caused $800 worth of damage. They had to take apart the whole grill and replace it. The license plate holder is attached to nothing but a lot of expensive plastic parts in the grill.

That reminds me of a family event we all showed up to by car. One of my son in law's saw I was backed in to a spot. He turns to my daughter and says " who does that ?" It came up later, and told him if we are in parking lot, for a kids game for example, if I can back in quick without holding up traffic, I would rather do that then back OUT when tons of people, kids, are walking behind the car. I am pretty sure I did not make my point. Now "who does that" is a family saying.
