I couldn't find any information from previous search so I figured I'd post some pictures.

I did not modify the anchor nor the anchor locker at all. and this is less than 1/3rd of the baby box anchor I have used in the past. (13lbs vs 4lbs)

I would secure the stock so it will not move. I did cut an inch off either end of the stock to get my 8# west marine anchor to fit in the holder. An alternative would be to Dremel out the stops on the holder so the stock will overhang, but it will be secure. One rogue wave...I remember a Bimini trip when a secure anchor did cause damage to the hull.

I might do the Dremel method. I have a padding underneath so not worried about impact. If it held a 13lb box anchor 3 seasons, it can handle a 4lb anchor 😆 and I may know the person if you are referring to 2017 trip 😆

It seems you are thrilled with your purchase, and that is fantastic.

Sharing as a point of reference, the Guardian Anchors, G7 has a 18 inch stock vs the 19 inch on the Fortress, and a 2in shorter shank. Both anchors are made by Fortress, I believe the only real difference in their design is the Guardians are duller in finish, only offer a 32 degree angle (vs the choice of 32 or 45) and offer a shorter warranty.

We have the G7 on our 21ft and it holds extremely well in sand. My Dad has the FX7 on his boat (24 ft Hurricane with a huge ass Bimini) and never had an issue there.
