Hey all,

Cleaning off the boat today after a day out on the water and noticed my deck drain out the back of the boat was flowing slowly.

Found a small dowel rod to use to dislodge the crud but when it was flowing better I was able to see something large still suck in the tube.

Pulled out what can only be described as a silicone ring. It doesn’t look like it was a manufactured piece and almost like the previous owner tried to seal up something.

The drain flange was broken when I bought the boat. One of my first repairs.. was this a result of a DIY fix or did a dislodge a significantly worn piece that needs replacing?

Looks like silicone that Yamaha more than likely used to seal the scupper hose to the fitting on either end of the drain hose.

That’s the “flange” I replaced. Now I know the actual name, hah. I did not silicone it though. Hopefully that is OK
