Hi
Anyone ever had a problem with the speedometer? Mine just stopped working on both the digital readout and the round dial. I checked the back of the electonics and also the through hull sensor and nothing looks out of order.
Any suggestions are apprecited.
Tom

Tom,
Have you checked the transducer paddles that measure speed? Maybe something got lodged up in there? It should spin freely. I that is working, take out the bait bucket holder and make sure the connections to the transducer have a good connection. Start from the easiest on the outside and work your way back. Might just be a simple thing like that. Fingers crossed for you :)

Hi Grover
The problem has to be at the paddle transducer. It was working in the morning and then stopped working after i polled up the anchor. So the bottom of the boat may have touched.

Sounds like you have located the issue then. You can access the transducer from inside the bilge and I think it can be disconnected and removed without too much trouble, But first, try spraying some water from your hose up there and maybe loosen it up if it's got a rock or something in there. Maybe it got picked up from the bottom?

LMK if that works.

Hey grover
You nailed that problem resolution suggestion on the (transducer paddle) head! Sprayed water into transducer for about 5 minutes at all angles. Then fired up the engine with the hose hooked up to the engine rinse and took a second hose and sprayed the paddles and everything is workin. Thanks for your replies and the pic you posted! Much appreciated.

Hey ! That's great news when the simplest, and cheapest solution, can fix the problem. Thank you for letting me know. Glad I was able to help. This forum has helped me a bunch too.
Safe travels!
