is that on a removable mount? I was thinking about putting one on mine but done know how I would cover the boat.
 
I was concerned about the same thing. I need my cover to fit. I think I posted this awhile ago, but here it is again. I used the quick mount, and installed it on the gunnel with a backing plate. I then had a SS plate made with the quick mount bolt pattern. When I remove my motor, the only thing left behind is the small insert part of the mount. I like the look of that @Dwayne Henderson . The way i mounted mine it cuts across the deck. Not a big deal for me as when im fishing its down I may tweak mine this spring like you did. It looks like your motor is darn near centerline when deployed. What thickness plate did you use?
 
Are you still able to open the anchor locker with this setup?
