Hi again, I installed my Lectrotabs today with the MLC-1 controller. Got the tabs all setup, drilled out the hole in the dash for the controller, ran the electrical and tried to turn the tabs on ... nothing. The light to the controller doesn't work, and none of the tabs move.

Here's how I ran the electrical, I must have done something wrong and I'm looking for help: I ran the cables from each actuator up to the controller and installed them in the 3, 4, 5, and 6 slots. I ran 14 gauge wire from the 7 slot to a spade connection into the accessory switch. The #2 slot is the ground and I ran 14 gauge wire, and grounded it to a steel bolt in the helm. Finally #1 is the power and I ran that to the house battery where the kill switch is and connected using a battery terminal connector. Installed a 15amp inline fuse for the power cable as well.

Did I do something wrong here or is there something up with my controller? Should the ground be run to the black terminal on the house battery?

I’m sure you probably got it figured out by now but a ground on a boat is not the same as the car. It needs to be hooked up back to the battery. This can be done by tapping off another negative ground wire in the helm.

On another note I’m looking at getting and installing these tabs. However looking at the space inside below the swim platform it doesn’t look easy to get in there to seal the back of the wire where it comes through let alone even fishing the wire out of each corner. Do you have any suggestions or installation pics?

It is not hard for the wire. You don't seal the back just seal the wire and hole where it enters the swim platform. The cable(wire) is easy to just push through the hole and keep feeding it and it will come out. It is the size of Coax cable. I did mine without ever sticking my hand in there. No leaks works perfect. I used black 4200 fast cure to match the color of the mount and wire. The white would be to visible. IMHO

3M Marine Adhesive/Sealant Fast Cure 4200, 06564, Black, 1/10 Gallon: Industrial Sealants: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

Also used the black where I mount to transom. You could use 5200 as well.
