Fuel Injector

I replaced a Fuel injector in my 2006 SX230 MR1 motor. Now the motor crank immediately runs to 9k RPM. The throttle body is closed. Injectors are firing. I can't connect to the YDS ECU connector squirrels chewed through the wire to on motor. What could be wrong? Is there a way to hook directly to the ECU? to figure out what's wrong?

Can you fix the chewed wire(s)? I don't know of another way to check the ECU. Have you visually verified the throttle body is closed, not just the throttle control?

Without a load, you'd be surprised how little a throttle butterfly has to open to allow enough air for an engine to redline. Under load is a completely different story. What did it do prior to the injector change, and did you change just one?
