Gas tank 2014 242 ls

Been trying to look at this. Fuel theft can be an issue. I thought i recalled from when i bought my 2014 242 that first part of the fuel fill that cup would act as an anti siphon mechanism? Any have any thoughts on that? Tx.

I thought there was a little screen in there that provided that function. Way down there (so you can't pull it out easily), but beyond where the nozzle would go.
