What Is the function of this dial on the back of this tach? There was one on the OEM part. Should they be set the same? CO on 01 ls2000

It can be adjusted to measure correctly on different engines. Set it same as yours is right now. If you set it wrong the gauge will display the wrong values (No horrible harm either, just needs to be adjusted for the gauge to read correctly).
