Hello all,

I am a new member and have been looking at getting a jet boat for a long while. Ever since I bought my 05 Waverunner VX, I have thought I would like to have a boat with twin motors like that. I have gotten less use out of my 22' CC outboard and mostly pull a tube with the waverunner.

So I have been sifting through the limited supply for months and found an 18 242SE. I have inspected it but was unable to water test it because of the weather. I had it dealer inspected and a couple repairs made by the owner. Now I want to test drive before completing the purchase. I have driven a variety of boats single and twin screw but not really any jets. I do know the basics of jet propulsion from the waverunner and have also test driven a 252XE. The 252XE was brand new so I could not open it up to really get the feel for it. Seemed pretty easy and maneuverable and would turn in place using both throttles.

Anything specific to try on a water test? Steering, handling, running WOT, E-syncing throttles, gate functions would be for sure.

Thanks in advance.
