Got my windows tinted today. Went with 20%. I liked the look of 5% but I tend to sit and look through the glass when driving so I didn’t want to reduce my visibility too much. Price was $550 + tax. Was $587 total. I feel it’s high but the guy had a service that I wanted so that’s what I had to pay. I’ll try to get some water photos this weekend.

Gonna have this done at the end of the season. Not sure on the % though, 20 seems a bit dark to me.

What shades did you consider before deciding on 20?

It was between 5% and 20%... The deciding factor was I opened my rear truck door and looked from the inside out. I felt I could see just fine through the factory 20% window tint and it looked decent on the opposite side so I went with the 20%. Trying to make my boat look cool isn’t worth not being able to see a skier down in the water so visibility was a BIG factor in my decision.

I think the tint looks good. And if you can see though it, that is probably a win.

Might want to consider a Stoltz roller for your bow stop there... That stock one will scratch up your boat.

Which one do you guys recommend? It looks like I’d need a 3 3/4” to fit in between the steal pieces but the overall length is 7 1/2”.

Stoltz website says this one fits “Yamaha Jet Boats with the Shoreland’R Trailer” but it doesn’t look like what I have now.

W O W ... that turned out looking sharp! Definitely a head turner!

Looks good, I like it. But 20% tint means it only lets 20% of the light through and that’s pretty dark. If I ever do it, I’ll probably go 50%. Good balance between looks and visibility. Thanks for sharing!

I did mine on my 232 50%. I thought it was perfect. I have 20 on the side windows of my truck and i dont like it. Its too dark. But thats just me. No right or wrong. Just do what you like

I like the 50%. Have you worn polarized sunglasses with the tint? I wore my polarized Maui Jim's last time out, the windshield looked like a checker board. LOL....I don't have tint yet, but 50% looks cool. It's all about looks for me.

I have seen the pics and I do believe that @RobbieO 's suggestion does fit better. But it also has less clearance to the metal holder... So I prefer the bigger bells, myself. Rather squeeze the bells a bit than to risk my gelcoat. But that is just me.

Rob, to be honest i dont recall. I sold the boat last year BUT the tint wont cause that look you are referring to. Atleast i have never seen tint cause that and i tint everything i have ever owned. Thats in the glass so if your glass does it now then it will be the same after tint. If its not like that now then it wont be after the tint is applied.
