While on the water last year, I had a stress "hole" appear in my bimini top right above the helm tensioner.

I also had a zipper issue...

and a spot where the canvas was fraying on the waste side of a seam that I don't have a photo of.

I am still under warranty for a little while longer so I contacted the manufacturer (Apex Canvas) hoping to get a comp'd repair. They asked me to send them photos of the issue (I forgot to take a pic of the frayed area) and a photo of the tag which I did. Within a day they emailed me back asking for my address and two days later...

Did you need to send your old canvass back to them?
 
I didn't...they just wanted the photographs. I was surprised.
 
I am going to give them a call also, I am starting to have the same issues with mine. It is starting to pull apart at the seams.

Just noticed that the part numbers are the same.
 
I'm pretty sure Apex is the manufacturer. What do you have to lose?
 
I emailed them, they requested pictures. After looking at the pictures they wanted me to ship them back so they could evaluate them. Hopefully they will send me the new cover and bimini soon. 20160607_153020.jpg 20160608_122000.jpg
 
I just had a similar experience. The seam around the front frame ripped at the stitching causing the top to be slightly loose. It was toward the end of the season so I took the canvas off when I was prepping for winter storage, and after contacting Apex sent it in with the warranty claim form they provided. I got it back in under a week with the repairs made free of charge.
For a comparison, on the same day I sent in my Costa Del Mar sunglasses to be repaired and they haven't even evaluated them yet. They say it can take up to three weeks from the time they receive them to even be evaluated. It's not boat related but it speaks to how good the customer service is at Apex.

update? The Bimini on my 2015 242 is doing the same thing. It started coming apart this summer when it was a little over 1 year old. I assume it's made by same company.

I sent them the top and they repaired it. Half is new and half is old...
 
I inquired to Apex today to replace the canvas on my 2012 SX210 F2J-U3131-10-00
