Hello All,
I was going to trailer the boat to Guilford area to visit my sister in law with the family and take them out. The boat will be loaded, about 11 ppl kids included. I was originally going to launch in CT river and run around up there but my sister in law wanted us to check out Thimble Islands and such by water. So there is a ramp in Guilford which is only like 10 bucks to use and 10 minutes from their house. Worth it to me. The next thing is, does anyone have any input on waters around Thimble Islands? I've heard to be careful and watch for rocks around the island as the water can be 40' and rocks can sneak up on you pretty quickly. I didn't plan on cruising through there on plane unless I saw marked channels. . .
Any recommendations for sandbars near there? I seen Kelsey Island is a good possibility just West of Thimbles. Lunch spots by water or any other cool things to show the kids while we are out. WEather looks beautiful and if anyone is near, let me know!
