Well as always life gets in the way. I planned on fishing 6 weeks ago. Still haven't been out. This next weekend I think we will go to Lake St. Clair, just the Admiral and I. Parents, kids, Work.. Switched jobs recently and have been in New York and going back for a week sometime next month.

The consensus was not to pull the boat down to Clear Water in July. Annual family trip. Still trying to figure out how I can sell the idea and tow it down, OR even it is worth the hassle and the 9 mpg fuel consumption.

Made it out today for our maiden voyage of 2023. We’re usually out in (very) early May but too much stuff going on the past few weeks. Today was probably the best May outing we’ve ever had - upper 70’s and pretty light winds.

Today was awesome out for us. Light wind. LSC would of been great. But the Bibcock was leaking on the front of the house and as things go as I started to replace it and cut the copper piping the shutoff valve in the basement was leaking when I shut it off. Then another shut off valve. Next thing you know I was sweating copper for half the day and changing the water pipe runs to put them in a better location within the rafters. Came away with 1/3 of the basement plumbing redone and plenty of solder burns on my arm. Stupid OCD...... :(

Oh man.......hopefully the Memorial Day weekend treats you better.......
