I have read several threads regarding how to organize all your "crap" in the head storage compartment. This weekend, after opening the compartment door, looking at the jumbled mess, then having to empty everything to get what I was looking for because it was on the bottom, I decided I had to do something. I was able to do this with only using 2 screws....I hate cutting or putting holes anywhere if I dont have to. So here are the results.

The pocket on the hull side of the compartment allows the back cushion for the rear seating area, which I almost never use to to stowed quite nicely with a perfect fit.

I needed to find a place to store the table. An 18" bungee cord hooked to the inside panel, then to the compartment door frame was a good fit, and kept it out of the way.

A rack bought from Lowes, attached with two 3/4" wood screws provides a great place to hang my bumpers and throw cushions for easy access.

Last, I needed to have a place to store my costly ski jackets where they would be easily accessible, and hanging for ease of keeping dry and preventing mildew. I found an expandable curtain rod, crushed the ends, and inserted above the panels in the compartment. Once set, and the adjustment tightened, the jackets hung nicely. After completing, I took her out for a 2 hour cruise, and everything stayed in place. Nice to have all this accessible and organized.

Nice ideas! I just traded a Chaparral 263 for a chaparral 2430 with ASP that Includes ballast bags under two seats. Not a lot of storage to start with. I will be giving those ideas some good thoughts.
