Long time listener, first time caller.

Been lurking here for a while reading and learning from the experts and decided it’s time to join my fellow boaters. Long time owner of Yamaha products. Enjoys jet boats, jet skis, motorcycles, cars. Love being outdoors and can’t get enough of being on the water enjoying toys with family and friends.

Looking forward to learning a ton and humbly contributing what I know. Talk to you in posts and see you on the water!!!!

There’s a lot to be said for MN. I have made sacrifices in order for my family to spend the summer on the lake in rural Northern MN. We live and work in CO and I’m fortunate the family enjoys MN as much as me. I’m new to the Jet Boaters with my 2019 212X purchase this year. I made 2 mistakes right out of the gate (sucking up a rope and sucking up rocks) and failed to refer to this group. My guess is you are older and wiser.

Wiser for sure, don’t know about older!!!!!

Just kidding, almost everyone here has sucked a rope sometime, I did in my first year of boat ownership. No worry, that’s why you get awarded for it here on this board. Enjoy what remains of the season on the lake.

I'm seeing snow in the forecast in a couple weeks. I pulled the waverunners and boat yesterday. Time to get them tucked away. I was thinking it was early, but my facebook timeline tells me I did the same exact thing on this day last year. But the snow (if it comes) is early for sure.

Welcome to the forum.

I pulled the jet skis out as well but the boat still ready to go for any last minute good weather. I do have sea foam in the gas tank so it’s an excuse to get sea foam and gas slushing around in the tank and into the engine for winterization.

I love that! I dumped two cans in mine last weekend before ripping it across the lake. Both waverunners got it as well for the same run. Only to find a dead battery in one. Shame on me for not using them enough lately.

Last night I did the acid wash on the hull and she is beautiful. But damnit, we are already losing daylight in MN!! I'm driving to work in the dark already, and last night I worked around the house till I could not see. Days are getting shorter.

I have 4-5 online weather groups I follow for sled season. And they are all showing a monster snow storm for the first week of October. Most of it will be Montana, but all the way from Nebraska on up through the dakotas could see snow. Some of that may get East to us. Wow, that seems early.
