Guest, we are pleased to announce that Hydrophase Ridesteady is offering an extra $100 off for JETBOATERS.NET members on any Ridesteady for Yamaha Speed Control system purchased through March 7th, 2025. Ridesteady is a speed control system (“cruise control”) that uses GPS satellites or engine RPM to keep your boat at the set speed you choose. On twin engine boats, it will also automatically synchronize your engines.
Long story short. Just pulled in from a 930 mile drive and just realized the keys are at home. Any suggestions? 2015 AR240. [USERGROUP=9]@HELP[/USERGROUP]
If you have the manual there might be a key code you can go to any yamaha dealer and have a set made, I know that doesn't help for today being Sunday, I'm sure someone else will have a better idea.
There's good news & bad news. The good news is that these keys are fairly generic. The bad news is that there are many different key 'numbers'. I think every dealership sells most of the keys but you'll have to know what key number you have. Maybe the dealer can tell what key number you have. Might be hard to get one today but they should be able to help tomorrow
They are the same. I just stopped at the marina behind my house (he rents waverunners and Yamaha jet boats) and the owner told me to go to marine specialties in new Smyrna in the morning. He said they'll have the key or get one overnight.
Good locksmiths can make you the keys. Drive it by one after locating a decent locksmith. They can do it for cars with chips in the keys they can do it for these boats. I'm 99.9% sure this can happen.
Just notice you were in NSB. My code is 856 on my key. If by chance yours is the same I can run my to you in the morning.
Don't forget to stop by Breakers for a burger.
You can "hot Wire" the switches. There are two wires that complete the ignition circuit and one that makes the starter turn. And the previous wiring diagram shows that.
