First post and I hope not my last...Test drove a '17 SX190 yesterday and I am ready to pull the trigger on a purchase but in measuring my garage I only have 19' 4" in depth, wife has agreed to park car outside so I have the width of 18' and door height of 6'10"( not worried about the height thanks to this forum). Preferably I would like to back the boat and trailer in straight and use the middle portion of the garage. I pulled in my F150 in today and with a hitch step on it fit into the garage with the door down by an inch, measured total length 19'3". Does anyone know what the exact length of the boat on the trailer is and how wide the boat is at the transom. I need the transom width to determine if I have to angle the boat and trailer I can mock up a UHaul trailer to that width and try a figure out the required angle. Also, would it be advisable to move the winch post on the trailer up 3 inches or so to give me some additional space savings? I looked yesterday and the winch post appeared to be bolted on and movable? Thanks for all the advise from this forum that I have already read and enjoyed over the past week or so and I know that you guys can help!

Juet check since I just measured something else but it's looking like 19ft bang on boat being the longest part assuming trailer is setup the same as mine. Tongue folds in remember.

Double checked their website says 19'2" so I think you are save.

Welcome @FLBulldogger and congrats on the new boat.

I'm assuming of course that you just couldn't wait for other guys to chime in and you just ran to the dealer to buy it before they closed so you could be out on the water before the end of the weekend ;). That's what I would've done. So no worries, if it doesn't fit, you can always push a wall back (it probably didn't need to be there anyway), raise a header, move the bow stop, or worse case scenario move. Either way you end up with a nice boat.

Again, were always here to help. That's what we do.

Dennis,
No didn't do that I appreciate the welcome and info but I'm going to mock up a uhaul trailer in the morning and see how it goes...BUT if anyone else has pics or info on my plight it would be most appreciated.

Can you check with your dealer if they are willing to bring the boat to your garage to try it for you? My local dealer volunteered to do so.

I thinks its worth a try, my nearest dealer is over an hour away, so we will see if he is ready to seal the deal, but so far I am very encouraged by the measurements I have gotten so far.

I like @Betik 's idea even better than mine. Let the dealer show you that it'll fit to seal the deal. If youve already seen it in person, the dealer has to know that you're serious. You could close the deal without leaving home brilliant!!!

My garage is a bit short so I have to caddy corner it in... IMG_20150414_175919630.jpg

Best thing I did for backing in the boat was to lag bolt an ATV winch to the floor - much easier to just use the truck to get it close , then winch it in the rest of the way with the remote.

OK after all the advice (THANK U one and all) and a complete mockup using a u haul trailer along with the pictures and measurements that @haknslash (dude you cinched it for the wife) provided on another thread we are going ahead with the purchase of a 2017 SX190 now to find a dealer locally, thanks to @synackattack for letting me know the dealer he used around here. Pics and stories to follow :)

@haknslash should get commission from Yamaha! He's responsible for easing the concerns with my wife on fitting the AR in the garage with his tower mod. He was also super helpful on getting those length measurements. Helluva guy!

@haknslash are you keeping track, at any level, of the number of people that have bought based on your measurements?

:D I'm glad they are helping folks get into boats! :winkingthumbsup"

Thanks for the kind words. I enjoy helping folks

SO this is what @haknslash has created....my garage as stated in my previous post...with FL's requirement to have all garage doors in my area reinforced with an additional 3 inch intrusion into the garage space. I would have NEVER considered purchasing a 19 ft boat and expecting it to fit with trailer, that the manufacturer claims to be be 20' on trailer if it wasn't for @haknslash and his measurements and best yet THE convincing photos he posted!
Thanks again guys for your caring and concern! Just brought HER home today and we are overjoyed! For everyone considering at SX/AR 190 ...My garage minus the hurricane supports was 19'1 1/2" and I have a half inch to spare!!!! The garage height is exactly 83" from the garage floor up to the upper trim, I didn't even have to worry about this I had 2 inches to spare, didn't even drop the tongue down!

It's in and that's what matters :winkingthumbsup" ! Congrats!!

Thank you all,
I had quote for a new SX190 but, after arriving home and measure the garage it's 19’ 10” long I was kind of sad (not really in ✋) that I will probably drop the kitchen wall to make room for it but, you guys save from the extra work; with all this info man this is great..... Wife agreed to park outside let me move the garbage containers to the back and throw away unused items. Booking my next day off from work.
BTW first post but, very excited!!
if you must know first boat but, trading in a Waverunner VX deluxe..

It is good that you are prepared to park outside. I am just waiting for the posts where you say “ OMG I was able to put it in”.
I am still optimistic that once you pull the boat all the way up and fold the tongue, you will make it......

@Gustavo Hidalgo Welcome to the best Yammy boards on the internet, you will find a great resource here with lots of guys here with ton's of experience and advice. Not real sure about you post though..If your garage is 19'10" in depth that is plenty of room to get her in there, my garage is only 19'- 1 and a 1/2" deep with the hurricane straps on the garage door and I have room to spare. It should fit :winkingthumbsup"
