Just wondering if any of you put new grease into the jet unit, and if so, how much, and how often? Also what kind of grease?

I'm sure folks will chime in with more detail, specific to your boat. In the meantime, I would recommend typing "bearing housing" in the search option. Plenty of threads to read through. I measured the volume output of my grease gun. It puts out 1 cc for every pump. The 10 hour maintenance states to add 30 cc's, which equates to 30 pumps. But that's a ton of grease and could break the seal so make sure you're not doing that on your boat. It's not like putting grease into your wheels until the old grease comes out. I'm not an expert so don't put your faith into what I have to say, but you'll learn a ton reading from those that are. Hope this helps some.

Thanks, i found a lot of threads with that "bearing housing" term. Almost doesnt seem beneficial to even do. Not like its being applied to the bearings, just prevents water from entering the boat. If I ever see water entering the boat, then ill know its time to add some grease.

I would buy the Yamaha factory maintenance manual... Yamaha uses two different greases, don't mix them. It specifies when and how much. I have a 212X so my numbers won't help you.

Just wondering if any of you put new grease into the jet unit, and if so, how much, and how often? Also what kind of grease?

Once a year. A few pumps. No idea how much so I just do 3-4.
