Just picked up 96 Seadoo Speedster yesterday. STBD engine had to come out for a rebuild before I can go out on the water. First boat for me and I've always wanted a Speedster. SO EXCITE!

Welcome! That boat is going to be a blast.

Congrats @ohtenwillys on the new boat and welcome to the site.

My last boat was a Sportster 1800. Loved it. Are you going to do all the repairs / rebuild yourself?

@ohtenwillys - That thing looks like a speed demon! Brother you're going to have a blast!

Keep us updated on the repairs, lots of great info on this forum with plenty of knowledge to go around.

Have fun, be safe!

Very cool. I've seen a few of those zooming around. Looks like a total blast.

Jeep wave.

Thanks! And yeah I'm going to do as much as I can myself, but if not I have a couple local people I can reach out to if I get in a bind. The boat seems simple enough though, just 30,000 coolant and oil lines everywhere haha

I started a thread in the seadoo forum where I'm gonna put all the pictures (idk how to post a link from my phone or else I would haha)

Just copy the url / http / address thingy at the top of the page and paste / post it here.

A few things that I learned with my sea Doo.

I rebuilt the carbs (only use genuine Mikuni rebuild kits). You can get good info on the "Suoer BN" carbs on the mikuni web site.

Inspect all of the oil lines from the tank to the carb/oil pump and the little tiny lines on the carb. Replace with original clamps and line. I might have a little bit of the lines and clamps left over. Let me know if you want me to mail them to you. If those lines fall off, your will melt down the Pistons.

Good luck, take pics, keep us posted.
