?I have a 2015 yamaha fzs,can I adjust the trim wile driving or do I need to come to almost a stop.

Yes. Have to come off plane and almost idle to adjust.

Only adjustment if your start with nozzle up(twisting clockwise). If you click lever unlock it will point down once on plane on its own. It feels like you shifted gears.

You'll need electronic trim or set it one click lower from the middle.
Its a sacrifice.

Is the electric trim that slow on the newer Waverunners? That used to be the best feature of the Yamaha Waverunners of the past was the QSTS (Quick Shift Trim System) It was a manual twist with locking trigger. You could come off power and shift, and be back on power almost as fast as shifting gears on a motorcycle. Ultimately never coming off plane.

That immediate drop in thrust was all it took to trim the nozzle, then back on power. Is there a trim gauge on these newer ones that show you nozzle angle? Or more specifically trim level? You could just come off throttle enough to trim, then get back on power. Otherwise, yes, on power, you would burn out that trim, as there are a ton of forces on that jet nozzle to be trying to adjust under power.

On a performance watercraft, trim should be fast. That may not be true on more cruiser types. It is why a true race PWC has a trigger style trim allowing the rider to pull in to trim for corner than release to go to the optimum speed trim level quickly.

Good luck,

on my FZS you can trim back towards neutral trim while under power from trim up or trim down with ease but here is from the manual
