Ignition switch wiring 2020 195s

Trying to splice in the aux wiring on a trim tab system into the ignition switch wiring to have it trigger the auto lift and calibration when you turn the switch on or off. Spliced into the red wire on switch and seems to not do anything but just work all the time. Granted not in garage so I didn’t start engine completely and turn it off. Maybe that was all it needed. Thoughts?

For some reason, I recall that yellow with a red stripe was the switch power on wire on my 2019 (used to trigger a relay, not to draw power from).... I'll see if I can find a picture from my RideSteady install.

Black: ground
Red: hot 12v (as soon as battery switch is on)

Yellow /red: hot 12v with key turned to on or start position.

Do you have a voltmeter to confirm?

I do have a voltage meter. Thx for the help. I bet that is it but will confirm tomorrow or Wed!

The yellow with the red stripe was the answer! Worked like a champ. When I cut on the key or off, the trim tabs will reset to the up position. Thanks!
