My ignition switch broke yesterday when I tried to tighten it to keep it from spinning. I found the replacement parts online, but you have to buy them as a pair. Is there anyone out there who has just a single one laying around that they would be willing to part with. It's for a 2007 AR230, but The same part was used in multiple year models.

Or convert to that push button deal for the cool factor?

You would need some sort of "on"/"acc" switch in addition to push to start. That could potentially be a single switch but would need two buttons for start. Might be an easy upgrade....hmmm.

my key switch spins also, if I remember correct the plastic lock washer on the back is split and won't stay tight, Usually I can hold the front bezel while turning to help tighten it up for the day and it holds until somebody tries to "overturn" it to start the engine

I thought about replacing it but just checking at Sportsplaza it's $181. for what looks like one , NOT THIS YEAR!

Yup, I was tired of mine spinning and determined to make it stop and then it sheared in half. Now I'm going to have to shell out $200 unless I find someone with a spare.

Wait, it's just a plastic nut? Can't you just go to the hardware store for a stainless replacement?

And some just did a push button start write up. I would find but driving for work atm and i only type at stops for unloading.

No, it's not just the plastic nut. The actually cylinder snapped in half. The one on eBay looks like it might be similar. I saw that one earlier and I'm going to compare it to mine when I head back down to the marina. It'd be nice if its a match, or at least workable.

Mine has the 5 wires out of the back as well.
I would suggest you stay with the oem switches. I had to buy mine as a pair as they are keyed alike. I suppose you could get a used single switch and have it rekeyed to your other switch. I lucked out as they were back ordered last summer and only one place in Miami had a set.
