After fighting with those things for hours I used the 3M eraser wheel very similar to what @LyonsAR210 suggests it made getting that stuck on glue a cinch.

@LyonsAR210 @robert843 . I've got a connection for some industrial strength adhesive remover from my guy that did my jetski. Picking it up tomorrow...if that doesn't work, I'll try the eraser wheel.

I found that taking mine off when it was 40 degrees was the trick. I recommend anything you can do to cool the surface... I did try a turned over can of liquid air, but I think it was too local to really have much of an effect. But I bet if you went at it with lots of 1 gal bags of ice and/or ice packs, you would have an easier time.

The eraser wheel would be awesome on that surface.....my 05 had a texture on there so it just ate up the wheel...what a PITA that was. I used acetone and elbow grease.
