In my 2018 AR190 I have the Marine Audio 200 for the deck stereo. I am adding 4 polk DB652's and the Clarion XC2410 amp. What I am confused about is the stereo only has 1 set of RCA's instead of 2. Should I use the speaker wires off the deck harness to connect as a high level input or use 2 of the speaker wires and the RCA's? Should I get a high level to low level converter? Or can I use a Y off the 1 RCA and hook to the amp that way? What makes the most sense? Thanks!

I just use a couple RCA splitters. Works just fine as long as the speakers you are trying to hook up are running the same level input. The only thing you won't get is fade control but I doubt you'd want that anyways.

In my opinion, its best to get an amp that has an internal DSP. These amps will sum the number of channels needed from a 2 channel output. One of the more popular amps are the Marine JL Audio amps.

MHD900/5

I have 2 of these on my boat. Set the toggle switch to 2ch, and it will sum the signal and power the other channels including the sub.

@chrisinslc Which direction did you end up going on install?
Debating on installing amp and additional speakers, but have limited knowledge of best way to wire from HU to amp.
Been hittin the search function...which brought me to this post.
Any input or pics of install would be appreciated.

Thanks

I haven't done it yet since the boat is still under snow. Pretty sure I am going to use the RCA y harness to each output from deck and I will just lose the ability to fade front to back.
