Purchased the htas10 and looking at a suitable location. My first thought it to install where cooler is suppose to go in the 2010-14 240's. Anyone else using this as their sub? If so, where did you put the damn thing?

I don't know the dimensions of that, but my 12" sub is installed in a sealed box that fits all the way to the back of the starboard storage compartment. It fits snug between the engine compartment wall and the outer hull, in front of the shower tank on the LS. You should have even more room back there without the tank.

I put 2 JL 10's in that location on my old 242, and I'd do the same thing again.

Most don't purchase a subwoofer before first knowing exactly where the subwoofer will be located. But since you already have the sub (and it is a good unit)....
From a quality of bass standpoint, the best possible scenario will be in a location that provides direct-radiation into the cockpit area. Having an enclosed subwoofer exposed is rarely a practical option. This means that the sub/enclosure is usually concealed within a boat cavity such as a bench seating console. Then it becomes important to cut in an open aperture that is at least equal in size to the surface area of the driver. This allows the bass energy to flow from within the compartment that contains the subwoofer and outward into the open cockpit area.
Then a vent/grill will be used to cover the custom cut aperture.

I put mine inside the port storage compartment under the bench seat, where the batteries are....
