What are you guys paying and with who?

I'm paying 140 a month with geico and feeling like that's more than it should be?

Yes that sounds like too much. IDK if geography has that much to do with it, but I pay less than $500/year for agreed value insurance ($45,000).

Who do you have insurance through?

State Farm

I'm with State Farm and about $300 annually.

$60k + $5k trailer
$1k Emergency Services (Boat Tows, on water services & spill clean up)
$1MM liability coverage
$100 deductible

In my context, $140/mo seems awfully high!

Skisafe for a little over $500 for the year. They have a nice website too where you can pick and choose what works for you and the dollar amount changes as you choose/delete options.

BIA (boater's insurance agency) $500-something for the year.

I'm a little over $600 a year with a $75k agreed value.

Yea, 140/mo = ~$1,680/yr. Roughly 4x what our policy costs.

Agreed value coverage at $30k for boat, and $3k for trailer. Also have a $5k Personal Property coverage for anything not attached to the boat that is a loss.

I get a little bit of a discount because I carry a $1mil umbrella policy. Not sure how much that is though. Everything is through Erie.

I pay $1032 a year, but I chose several coverage options just because I'm a scared first boat owner on a $65k boat and want to cover all grounds to include losing things in the water.

Well I'm gonna be talking to my state farm agent, as I am apparently WAY overpaying.

Thanks guys.

Assuming you boat all year, I suspect that is a good rate actually. Who are you with?
I’m with geico. I just bought my boat in April but have gone out pretty much every weekend. CA allows me to boat longer

Here in Montreal, for $30K coverage and $2M liability , boat moored in Lake Champlain NY I pay $620 per year.

$1375 per year with USAA thru Progressive for a 2016 242 Limited SE and two 2016 Yamaha VX Cruiser deluxe jetskis

$356 State Farm
Boat US which is now Geico wanted more than twice that amount.

$387 a year Markel American.
