Ok, so far no issues with the boat. I get tons of compliments and it is fun to drive. I have owned two boats before this, both IO. My Scarab just turned 40 hours and it seems I have an easier time talking to people on the boat. Is it me or am I loosing my hearing. The engine is running smoother and quieter . Does this engine self correct or is it my imagination. BTW, I really like this boat.

I would say you are just getting used to the noise. The excessive noise was a surprise to me after swtiching from an outboard. With two engines there is twice as much noise. I doubt the engines have become quieter, but it doesn't seem to bother me as much.

Stantm ** My 300's ( which are already smoother engines) have DEFINITELY become quieter and smoother in the last 10-15 hrs. I have owned many ski's and many boats - my hearing is the same. The engines absolutely have become smoother. I have about 50 hrs on the boat. Just like how the boat has a break in period before full boost and the accompanying timing that comes with it, they seem to be learning almost. Some computer systems in cars have learning systems where they look at fuel and timing and optimize over time. BRP may have a similar set up. With cars it is often a certain amount of key cycles/ resets and then it will learn and optimize. You are not alone.
