Issues with bilge pump.

It was not terrible to add more, the more scary thing is drilling holes in the fiberglass, but once you get over the fear it's a piece of cake.

If I had to do it over I would have picked a bilge pump with more standard hose size. I used atwood 1200gph pumps that use an uncommon hose that ended up costing as much or more than the pumps.

I put one way back under the hatch, the other higher up on the engine area.
 
I agree 2 pumps are the best nice to have back up. The hardest part is attaching pump to hull. Always hard for me to get that low in engine bay.
 
Ordered a new pump out it in and that’s all
It was. Noticed since I had the boat it won’t come on automatically I have to hit the button. All three wires are hooked up. It should work automatically even with boat off right?
 
On mine, I have to turn on the switch at the helm, then the pump automatically senses if there is water and turns on if there is. If the switch is off, then the pump does nothing.

On mine, if the boat is off, then the pump is off too. But it does depend on how you wire it.
