For the experienced owners:

Can a dealer add the IST software module after delivery or does this have to come from the factory ?

Very good question!! That would be nice if it could be installed on existing models.

I think for software compatibility reason, it can only come pre-installed at factory.

Or possibly at the least the Digital Speed Control package which is what offers the different modes including the Docking mode ?

The dealer should be able to add the Digital Speed Control features (Ski, Cruise, Docking & Economy) to your boat.

No it cannot be done. The IST boats have completely different throttle, reverse, and neutral programming. There are no longer any physical connections through control wires to the jet pump or reverse gates.

I talked to brp on Monday. They told me I can add it on to my 2014 215 ho through the dealer.

Unfortunately you got incorrect information, iST can't be added through Rotax dealer network.
