Since I was taking it apart I took some pictures and video of the metal on metal sound I was hearing.

I think this problem has just gotten worse since I never addressed it during my time with it and sucking up a rope months ago that left the black burn spot on liner.
I think it touching along the top edge of liner. Impeller looks decent as boat had no cavitation and was running 47mph

I'll post impeller FS if someone is interested. They are hard to find. Also, if your liner needs replacing and you want a temporary one lmk.

Let me know if video does not work.

If anyone in Miami needs help doing it, I can't stress how easy it is. I'm here to lend a hand if you need.

Very helpful. I watched the video of the impeller removal but can’t figure it out. I think you put a socket on the spline of the drive shaft and a pipe wrench on the impeller. But it can’t see how this actually gets the impeller off the shaft…

Yip socket on spline.
You need a deep socket but a regular one works .
Once you reverse thread it, it slides off DS that goes to input shaft

This is how to get it off....

Mind the direction. It is reverse threads, as seen on the video.

That is pretty slick driving a car tire onto the socket wrench, I’ve always wondered how I would do it since I don’t have a vice. Thanks for the great idea!

I can only take credit for posting video and hoping it is easy to find for anyone looking to do it themselves.

I saw picture in a thread a while back and wish I could acknowledge person.

It's a red truck if iirc doing same thing with block of wood underneath duct housing in his driveway.

Thanks to him?
