Looking for a jetwash deflector that snaps onto ladder or wake wedge for 2012 yamaha AR240 if anyone has one they would be willing to sell.

Other than the obvious design difference what makes the wedge better than the deflector? I am new to this and trying to figure it all out

Here is an unpublished video I had put together while testing the Jetwash Deflector with Will at Jetboat pilot. I'm sure he's cool with me sharing it.

It was not a failure, but to be honest, it didn't do enough to probably justify the cost. And possibly why it is no longer produced. The wake wedge far out performed this unit, but it was more expensive. So you get what you pay for.

It does clean up the wave, and it does work for either side. You be the judge. Since making this video (4 years ago) there has been plenty of theories on where to put ballast, so please don't judge me, it was the recommendation at the time.

As you can tell at the time, I was excited, as it was as clean as I had gotten it so far. But in comparison to the wake wedge, it's minimal.

Now, my recommendation is to get a surf boat. The hassle of setting these boats up for one rider, and then resetting for the other side is a PITA. Keep that Mastercraft owner friend close by when you want to go burn gas.

I will never badmouth one of Will's products. But on that same note, I will have no issues admitting to their limitations. Please keep in mind, this is a beta product, but it was the second beta Will had sent me, and was about as close to production as it came. The first Jetwash deflector was about the size of my swim ladder in shape.
