JL Audio m8.8 recommendation

Purchased new AR240 and in the process of what appears to the standard stereo upgrade. I went to a local installer and he recommended the JL Audio for the cockpit speakers and advised that adding a sub would only be needed for a slight change in base. Already upgrade the other 4 speakers, now just adding an amp plus either 8.8, or 7.7s with a sub. If I go with the 8.8s is there space in the cockpit area. The 8.8s are about 5inches deep.
 
If you can fit the 8.8 coaxials, do it. They are incredible, and sound soooo good. As far as a sub, I would still run a sub. Maybe a M10IB5 if you have the room, or at least a M8IB5. The dedicated subs can take a pounding, get into that sub 50hz range that a coaxial cant. The 7.7s are awesome too.
