Hey guys, new guy here, just got my 2015 Scarab 215 HO (no superchargers) to replace my 1800 Challanger. Definitely a few steps up but my little 240hp Challanger got me hooked on jet boats. I have been reading some threads and I want to make sure my info is good.
One thread suggested it's ok, in fact better to run the higher octane E10 fuel? Can I run 93 octane E10? And is that preferred to 89 non Ethanol? If I use an additive is there a recommended one? I use my boat once a week all year long in the Gulf of Mexico so I do flush it according to the BRP how to vid (thanks for that scarabmike) any other advice would be appreciated!

Welcome @a4effort ! Since you have a non-supercharged boat, you can run whatever fuel you like because the high octane is not needed. I would use a fuel treatment if you plan to store the boat or not run it for an extended period of time. When you flush the boat, dont go for more than 2 minutes. It will burn up your carbon seals.

Enjoy your boat, and congrats!

Thanks very much for the response! I've been flushing after every use because I run in salt water. Normally I rinse for a minute then shut the water and let it run till the water stops squirting from the motors then shut it down. The vid you posted says to run the motors up to 5 k rpm torun the water out so I will do that.
Thanks again for the info!
