Here's what my '18 looks like....

Ordered some killmat today. Hopefully between now and summer it stops raining long enough to actually put it on.

What? It is waterproof right? Lol

I have a 2011 242 Limited that I have started last summer a similar project of Dynamat and closed cell foam sheets..... all peel and stick. It does make a difference in the sound (or lessening of the buzz). My spring project may be using aerosol foam like that posted by Swatski. Here's my question: are you using "Great Stuff" expanding foam like from Home Depot? Where to squirt it to be most effective?
I like the pillow idea of stuffing foam into those vertical spaces on the side of the boat. How useful do you think that is in dulling the vibration along the hull?

Chocking off the engine noise emanating through the rear storage compartments and traveling up the bulkheads towards the bow has a major sound deadening effects. Large foam pieces are great for those cavernous spaces under the hull cap/back of the storage compartments, memory foam is probably the best acoustically, and those can and will most likely need to be swapped once they get wet.
I've used the polyurethane (expandable) foam where I could not readily reach - in the bulkheads beside the "head" compartment and under the hull cap in the bow etc.
I believe I used Great Stuff IIRC Menards has it in relatively large cans.

I tend to be slow/careful (and pump/go kind of slow) - too large volumes of the foam sprayed in at once may heat up the compartment and expand too quickly possibly causing damage - if there is no escape.
Clean up is a nightmare, so best to have some rugs ready just in case.

The foam removal is easy - it can be cut out with a knife almost like Styrofoam, maybe a little tougher. It can also be penetrated with a wire puller/fish tape so no worries about blocking access really.

I pulled off my old factory stuff which was peeling off and turning into dust everywhere. Finally got around to putting this stuff on. I can't tell if it's any quieter, but it does look better. Then of course we had to take it out today since it was in the 70's.

@suke it looks great but one warning. I posted a youtube video in which I was wearing socks out of respect for someone else boat and I got a hell a lot of ridicule for wearing socks on a boat. This forum is nice, but please be aware if you put something on youtube. sock are not allowed on boat. I guess it is like bamanas

PS. I am starting a dumping project on my jetski.

hah, my shoes are right there under my legs on the floor. I took them off so I could put my feet up on the cushions. Don't worry as soon as they came off I put my shoes back on.
