Is it going to be a zoo there tomorrow?

Is the island open to public and can we explore the island?
Where exactly is the island?

Sandbar still fun place to hang out?
Where exactly is the sandbar?

which area is good and safe place to pull tubes?

Any other recommendations?
Thank you

I stay at lake anna in the summer. It will be VERY CRAZY tomorrow. I actually pulled boat out last night and will not put back in until Sunday evening or Monday morning. LOL....its crazier since 4th falls on a Saturday.

Not sure what island your talking about....may be a diff name i'm used to. The sandbar is the happening place but probably wont be able to get to it so busy tomorrow. You have facebook, look up sandbar lake anna if so. ...clothes are optional after 5PM....lol....so if you have kids....bail out then.....

There are a few safe places to pull tubes. I highly suggest putting in hunters landing, really calm and no wake zone......looking off the dock go left for safer tubing if tomorrow....do not go past any bridge THAT WAY....get shallow. google the marina.

I plan on having a LKA day in next couple weeks and inviting JB friends, keep eye on post.

I was there Friday through Sunday, it wasnt as packed as I thought it would be. Saturday the Sand Bar was pumping until around 4pm when some clouds came in and about half of the boats there left. I stayed and the clouds left after about 20 minutes and it was awesome the rest of the day.

On busy days, I just go to the Sand Bar as early as possible to avoid the boat traffic on the main lake. It can get super choppy with all the traffic so I just go and hang out. I did leave the sand bar around 8 pm and headed to Dike 2 to watch the fireworks, and it was pretty busy then as well, but not bad at all. I waited until 11:45 to leave the fireworks and headed back towards the sand bar to put my boat in a slip for the night and it was smooth sailing.

Man, I love Lake Anna, I'll be back this weekend as well....

Here are some pics I found from a girl whose boat was tied up to mine from the 4th.
