@Englewoodcowboy you could probably find a house with a dock to rent through VBRO. In fact I have a buddy that has 2 rentals on Lake Wylie with docks. Here is a video of the Tiki Torch party that takes place at the SC sandbar (pictured above). Its a night party that pops off on the 3rd Satruday in July. Its a good time!
Video of the SC sandbar. This is about 1/10th of the boats that are out during the summer on the weekends at this sandbar.
My lake does not have any sand bars like that for people to gather, mostly rock and clay. Looking for something to do this summer and perhaps get to meet some other forum members while at it.
I want to trailer up whenever we take the kids to see Grandma and Grandpa in Sun City this summer. I have been looking for temporary slips/storage (weekly or even monthly- just to have it) but every marina I have contacted is annual rental only or full. My best bet so far sadly seems to be a public storage spot along the way to Nivens Landing that I would only use occasionally. Does anyone local know of any other possible options towards the southeast end of the lake? Thanks!
Good stuff @jlcj7! We were out on Saturday at 7 Oaks. A buddy and I hit up the Tiki Torch Party 2 weekends ago. I didn't get any pics or videos but it was pretty wild. I will see what I can find on YouTube. In your last pic you can almost make out my boat on the lift in the background across the lake.
Luckily i keep my boat at the marina, but many areas in the lake which are typically ok are very shallow or dry now. Lake is down about 4-5 feet from what i normally see
