Thanks to @Neutron for the idea he did with the courtesy lights and the blueLEDs I used it for lighting the storage compartments.
Added white LEDs to the rear storage compartments and engine bay controlled by the courtesy lights

I ran the wire from the courtesy lights in the cockpit. Just take out the rear most cup holder and feel around for the wires going to the stock light. I tapped into the wires there and ran a wire back to the engine compartment on both sides. I put two lights in each compartment wired in parallel and just used marine goop to attach the lights to the carpet and used duct tape to hold them in place to set over night. In the engine compartment I just used screws and put them on the side walls by the throttle cables . I ran the wire behind the carpet and used gorilla spray adhesive to glue the carpet back to the walls. I want to see how well the marine goop will hold them but my back up plan is to attach stainless fender washers to the backs of them if I need to.

I also installed a separate circuit for 10 blue LEDs:

And 7 additional blue LED courtesy lights 3 on the swim deck and 4 around the seating areas on the bow and stern

Installed an aux panel to control them :

Which is feed from a blue seas 12 circuit fused panel. I put a battery switch before that so I know everything would be shut off when I was done.

Looks great but my boat is red so I think I will need to source theses in red.

looks great, thanks for the links, added to the FAQ

Awesome Mod! Thanks for sharing. Would I be able to add the 10 LED's to the existing courtesy light wiring and rocker switch in a sx230? I can't imagine that these LEDs have that much of a draw.

I added mine to the existing system that works through the connext and works great. I can even dim them all through the connext as well.
So you shouldn't have any issues

Maybe a stupid question, but are there not regulations on external lights that may interfere with the navigation lights? Just asking. The instal does look great though!!

Check your local regulations but i am sure its not 100% legal. But i regularly have driven by local coast guard and marine police with all my blue lights on. Never have i been stopped.
New boats have blue leds built into their hard ttops

What gauge wire would you recommend for for running these around the boat? Should it be tinned wire?

It has turned out very well. And most importantly, it was made with your own hands. It would be even more interesting if you configured your LEDs to change color according to your mood something like the Vont smart light bulb I installed in my restroom to create different moods. I think the constant blue light can be tiring. But if maritime laws prohibit it, it's better to leave it. It looks fine as it is. The main thing is that the seawater doesn't disturb the lighting system. The sealing has to be top-notch. And the mount should probably still be secured with stainless washers.
