Hello all,
I am looking at getting an '09 232 limited.
I have a few questions. The first is: What engine is in it? The owner claims it a 1800 cc (160hp). From what I can find on google, it says it is an M1 (1052 cc /160 hp). Does the owner not know or am I not finding the correct specs?

It has only 51 hours and looks in good condition, upholstery and gel coat are good. I am taking it on a sea test tomorrow and will make a decision. We have agreed to $15,000 which seems pretty good.

Also, I currently own an Crownline 288BR (28' bow rider). It has a single engine (375 hp) Bravo 3 out drive. I am looking for something a little smaller and better on gas.

Will I be happy with the 232 limited. We mainly go to the gulf or on the lakes around here and pull the kids on a tube. (so both salt and fresh water).

Any thoughts/input would be appreciated.

thank you

That boat has MR1 engines, about 1000cc's, 160hp.

If you're looking for something that's better on gas than an i/o, you're going to probably not like a jet. By nature, they're less fuel efficient. However, you, like many of us have done already, run the ROI, on jet drive mpg's/maintenance vs. i/o mpgs/maintenance.

09' model year 23' 232 has the 1052cc MR-1's (160 hp). The 1.8's (180hp) started in 2010. $15k is a good deal if it sea trials well. Those engines spin to 10,200 rpm and top speed is around 48-49 mph. They are louder than the 1.8's that rev to the mid 8k rpm. 07-09 share the same hull and engines.

Hello everyone....again...thank you Spatty99, Anmut, and Zipper for your replies. It helped. It turned out when I got there that he didn't know what he had. It was an SX 210 with 110 HP motors. Since Orlando shut down the boat ramps we couldn't take it for a Sea Trial. Both clean out plugs were full of water and stuck. I could not remove them after pressing the release button no matter how hard I pulled. He said he never removed them because there was no need. There was no radio. Other than that it was clean. But I am looking for something a little bigger and a little faster. I decided to pass and keep looking. I am still thinking I would like a 23' - 27' dual engine jet boat. I do not want a tower because I have low bridges to consider.
Again, thanks for the input. I really like this forum...very friendly.
