Big thank you to Facebook user Eric Stolz who directed me to this. It appears many folks don't know this exists and now that I know about it, I figured it would be good to post here.
Scarab boats use engines manufactured in 2014 onward. Sea-Doo boats stopped in 2012. This means that whenever you're looking for parts for the power train (note, hull/boat parts still need to come from Scarab directly), you can never find your engine in the menus easily on various websites.
The trick is to get your engine model number. To get this, you need to remove TWO different plastic covers. The first one is the very obvious one whereby you need to remove the oil dip stick, then pull off the obvious cover on top of the engine. The SECOND cover (which was not obvious to me lol) has to ALSO be pulled off to see the stickers. It's part number 50 in this diagram. Just pulls up as well.
Once you have your engine model number that looks something like: 440001AAA, you can head over to http://epc.brp.com/
There, select Rotax JPS, then your letter code for your engine year. AA = 2014, AB = 2015, etc. Careful, your boat may be a 2015 but could be using a 2014 engine. Hence, the model number will confirm this. Then select the appropriate horsepower with cat option, etc.
This will now allow you to look up BRP part numbers (not the same as Sea-Doo, but MANY parts are shared). Also, many parts are the same across versions of the boat of course.
Hope this is useful for everyone when trying to order/get parts from BRP dealers.
