Looking for buddy boat for Bimini 7/4/25-7/7/25

Leaving from Miami, staying at big game resort bimini

I work fireworks to pay for boating needs. The 4th and maybe the 5th is kinda a big deal but we hope to leave and cross the Monday (7th) after. That means booking it down there for us! I will post up if we book but we will probably go harbourtown marina in fort lauderdale and we stay at bimini cove. We currently have a credit there as we cancelled last year due to weather

We are officially booked at bimini cove July 7-11

*Highjacking* Checking your SIG, PM me when you plan your pensacola/destin trip. Lots of great places, esp. if you time it with the blue angels

We made PCB a couple times and now that they have a big gathering there I think that essentially is the same but the blue angels there would be sweet! We've had them in Chicago before I believe but only once that I recall.

I’ll be back to Destin for my 2nd trip in 3 weeks from Illinois . Brought some extra boats and friends this time . Great place to boat .

The Bahamas has released proposed amendments for travel to the Bahamas for foreign vessels, going into effect July 1st 2025.

Read here: https://laws.bahamas.gov.bs/cms/images/LEGISLATION/BILLS/2025/2025-0056/2025-0056.pdf
and here: https://laws.bahamas.gov.bs/cms/images/LEGISLATION/BILLS/2025/2025-0041/2025-0041.pdf

In short: Cruising permit for vessels up to 35' is increasing to $500 (was $300), and fishing permit is $100 (was included in cruising permit).

Also, all vessels are required to have active AIS while in Bahamian waters (there is some talk this one does not apply to pleasure craft, although the proposed rule does not have any exceptions listed). Vessels caught without AIS or without their AIS turned on will be fined $1,000.

Interesting. My boat has the ais but only the transmit part on my vhf radio. Might be time to finish setting it up
