A good friend of mine is looking to buy a used Yamaha and I found this one at Reading Standard Motorsports - if someone could help pinpoint the owner it'd be much appreciated. Just trying to find information on the boat - this dealer is where I bought mine at and I feel like I could have been better informed before I bought from there.

Sorry, can't help. Looks like it was registered in Delaware.

That's all the information I know about it as well...

Have you asked the dealer for the info on the previous owner? If it is like Texas, you should be able to go to their parks and wildlife office with the current registration number and request the info

So here's the scoop (the dealer finally returned my call)

It's a 2007 AR210. Asking 17k. One motor has been replaced, not sure of the hours on the other (older motor).

Hit me back with feedback, pricing and any concerns that you may think of... Before I propose this deal to my friend...

Appreciate all the input I can receive... Thanks!

If this is his first boat I would maybe pass on this one. It looks nice and well kept but no telling who put the motor in and was it a rebuilt SBT motor or factory fresh? Last thing a new boater wants is a bunch of uncertainty and someone else's issues. Lots of boats out there to pick from.

For sure do a thorough sea trial if he's interested.

He's definitely not a new boater, just would be new to jets - he's actually the guy who introduced me to boating years ago on a prop boat. Coolest guy ever, taught me for a while then would let me take his boat out whenever I wanted to.

The dealer says that they replaced the motor, not rebuilt. Still. A little bit of worry about the other motor. I'm going to try and locate other Yami's for him and take a pass on this one.

I guess it comes down do you trust the dealer and their staff to have done it right and stand behind their work. I just know for me I would pass as there are plenty of those boats out there to choose from. The price would have to be a steal for me to consider it and even then it would always be in the back of my head but that's just me.
